Song Capital invests proprietary capital alongside institutional capital partners.
We deploy scalable debt and equity to acquire or recapitalise businesses that generate high-quality, asset-backed cashflows.
The Song Capital team have direct principal experience across multiple asset classes, jurisdictions, and investment strategies including operational private equity, growth capital and special situations.
Our diverse experience and proprietary capital base enable us to take a flexible, long-term approach to value creation when partnering with business owners and operators.
Partner & Co-Founder
University of Oxford BA and previously Rothschild Investment Banking. Then Investment Director at family office Emerald Investment Partners.
Particular focus on corporate, asset-backed and special situation investments.
Principal track record includes founding of housebuilder Cairn Homes plc (€440m IPO), fully funded take-private bid for pub company Punch Taverns plc (£1.6bn) and debt acquisition & equitization of Interserve plc (c.£800m).
Tom Pritchard MRICS
Partner & Co-Founder
Chartered Surveyor with asset-backed private equity background. Previously, Senior Director, Operational Real Estate, CBRE.
A focus on partnering with institutional capital to deliver financing solutions for operational real estate owners and occupiers.
Structured and transacted over £2.5bn UK and European operational real estate in the last 5 years.
Partner & Executive Chairman
Corporate and M&A lawyer with 35 years experience. Previously a partner at Slaughter and May for >20 years and Chairman of Emerald Investment Partners.
Wide experience in corporate, public and private M&A, equity and financing transactions in multiple sectors. Particular focus on corporate and private equity transactions with long-dated debt securities.
Principal partner on acquisitions of Wellington Pub Company (£200m), Punch Taverns related transactions (totalling > £6bn), merger of Nethold/Canal+ (£8bn), Wing Hang/OCBC public takeover (£5bn), UK and Asian corporate real estate transactions (>£5bn) and multiple asset-backed securitisations (c£4bn).
Previously PWC for 35 years where he held positions including Vice Chairman, UK and Managing Partner.
Currently chairman of FTSE 100 constituent Berkeley Group Plc (UK Housebuilder) and chairman of Irwin Mitchell (law firm). Currently a director of Transocean (deep water oil drilling) and Various Eateries plc (restaurants).
Previously senior independent NED at Aviva Plc until 2019.
